    FinAssam is the Financial Management Information System (FMIS) implemented for Government of Assam which consolidates all the financial information needs of the state government into one information database. It is an Integrated Financial Management System for the state of Assam with modules like Budget Planning & Preparation, Budget Modification, Budget Distribution, Treasury Bills, Administrative Approvals, Technical Sanctions, Financial Sanctions, Fixation of Ceilings, NPS, RIDF, Debt Management, First Salary, Employee Self Service etc. It also comprise of value added modules like SDG aligned Outcome Budget, e Budget etc. FinAssam project is also integrated with RBI, NPS, PFMS etc. It is a World Bank funded project.

  • PROJECT FOR LABOUR & ESI DEPT. STATE GOVT IN INDIA

    It is a unified service delivery platform implemented for the Labour& ESI Department, in a state government in INDIA that aids as an effective tool to deliver services in a timely, cost-effective and transparent manner to both internal and external stakeholders and help improve the "Ease of Doing Business". Various citizen services offered by both the Directorate of Labour and the Directorate of Factories & Boilers are made fully online along with e-payment, tracking and notification features. With such a system in place, the applicants are able to submit applications without visiting the offices, and the overall speed of the service delivery has enhanced drastically. The certificates issued by the department are bar coded and can be verified from the portal, either by providing the tracking number or certificate number. In brief, it is a major transformation whereby the need for physical touch points and paper-based processing was completely done away with.

  • CANES FOR NATIONAL INSTITUTE OF HEALTH & FAMILY WELFARE, GOVERNMENT OF INDIA

    The Campus Area Network and Enterprise Software (CANES) project involved the implementation of a Network Backbone for the institute on Optic Fibre Cable (OFC) connecting the various buildings in the campus. As part of the project Switched Local Area Networks (LANs) were established in each building that were then hooked onto the OFC Network Backbone. The computers in the various sections / departments were then connected to the LAN, establishing a seamless network of computers across the campus. A suite of Software applications for automating 12 functional and administrative activities in the institute was also developed. These applications were deployed centrally on servers, whereby users could access their respective software modules from anywhere in the network.

The solution, Quest, converts the data / observations / comments etc. of the senior scientists into categorized sections and stores it in a database.     To overcome the disadvantages that persisted with the existing software it was found necessary to migrate to Oracle RDBMS. The operating system was changed to Windows NT, keeping pace with the changes in technology. The front end for the software was reworked using Developer 2000. The software aids in migrating the existing software application module on Integra / UNIX to Oracle / NT. The application was designed on Developer 2000 with Oracle as its backend. The design and creation of tables in Oracle was done to facilitate smooth data transfer from the existing Integra database. The software is more user friendly as well as the transaction speeds are higher.

This data is consolidated at the warehouse and various reports are generated for the warehouse managers. The consolidated data from the warehouse is again transferred to the Central Server at the Head Office. The requisite reports are generated from the consolidated data from all warehouses of the organization. This information is made available to all the authorized personnel at the HO. The software has two versions, for the head office and the warehouse, respectively. The Head Office application is mainly for consolidation of data sent from the warehouses. The data received from the warehouses will include the details of transactions of each retail outlet collected through the electronic billing machine. The solution at the warehouse is for consolidation of the data from the electronic billing machines at the retail outlets.

    A software solution designed to monitor the progress of investigation was developed and deployed for the Crime Branch Department. The solution put in place a reporting mechanism by which the investigative officers were able update the status of cases handled by them. The software solution is hosted on a Central Server on an Intranet and is accessible to all users in the network. Based on authorisation, users can access or modify the data. Data submitted by the concerned person is automatically available to the next superior officer for approval. The Crime Branch Headquarters can generate various reports to monitor the progress of investigation at each Investigating unit in the state. Reports can also be generated of the progress on each case and also the complete investigation details of the individual case.

    The software solution CHOICE, was implemented in the 14 sub offices of the Office of Chief Electoral Officer in the state for creation, updation and maintenance of the electoral database in the state. The software maintains complete details of the elector including photograph, fingerprint and signature. Photo ID Cards are issued to the electors from the software. Through the search utility provided it is possible to filter names that appear in multiple locations thereby reducing the possibility of database tampering. The various functionalities automated by the software includes preparation of electoral roll, updations including additions, deletions & modifications, future revisions (summary, special, continuous & intensive), printing of rolls, preparation of CD ROMs of electoral rolls, preserving the database as archived copies and operation & management of electors photo identity card program.

The software also keeps track of the production and sales of Khadi products in the various units of the organization.
