    This was an ADB funded consultancy assignment where it was envisaged to implement a centralized Human Resources Management System for Government of Assam. As part of this assignment, areas amenable for computerization were identified. The components of HRMS that were subjected to detailed study are Recruitment Management, Employee Information Management, Leave Management, Training Management, Transfers & Postings Management, Promotions Management, Payroll Management, Performance & Appraisal Management, and Competency & Skills Management.

    It was envisaged to implement a software solution for managing the Audits being conducted by the Directorate. The scope of work was to provide consultancy in the preparation of the Software Requirement Specifications (SRS) for the management of Audits conducted by the Directorate. The SRS forms the basis for the development and implementation of the software.

  • CONSULTANCY SERVICE FOR KERALA FISCAL REFORMS

    A detailed study was conducted at the State Treasury, one District Treasury and one Sub Treasury to understand the existing software design and architecture. The design was evaluated in detail to identify the inadequacies of the existing database design. Detailed discussions were also held with the senior officers of the Department of Finance. Based on the study all the drawbacks and inadequacies noticed were thoroughly documented. A new database design along with the suggestions to overcome the identified inadequacies was suggested to take care of the needs of the organization.

  • PRODUCTION PLANNING FOR PRIMUS GLOVES

    As part of this assignment, a detailed study was conducted at the organization in consultation with the end users, identified the gaps that exist in the need and availability of information for informed decision-making. Based on the study, a plan was drawn up to automate the core production and quality control processes in the first stage. Functional areas like production planning, purchase, stores and marketing were recommended for subsequent stages. These modules can be later dovetailed into the production and quality control processes. The solution proposed was to automate the entire process from the point where the gloves are stripped off the production line to the point where they are packed for delivery.

    Based on the requirements analysis conducted, an IT solution was proposed that involved setting up of a private network connecting all the locations to the Head Office and generating various marketing related reports. The solution proposed facilitates the respective users in the Marketing Department with information on Sales, Order Status, Order Processing and a wide range of reports. The information pertaining to marketing activities right from the receipt of an enquiry to the point of product dispatch can be maintained in the system. A wide range of parameterized reports can be generated from the system.

  • ARCHIVE MANAGEMENT AT AG’S OFFICE, KERALA STATE

    A detailed study was conducted and a software solution was proposed to keep track of the Closed Files, Indexing Details, Re-issue details and Final Disposal. The proposed solution would have specific modules for Indexing, Transfer to Archives, Registration at Archive, Requisition for Referencing, and Transfer to Section & Back to Archive, Permanent Disposal and Reports. Users can search and submit requisition for retrieval of files for referencing.
