The National Institute of Medical Statistics (NIMS) is a nodal agency set up under Indian Council of Medical Research to help coordinate and standardize the collection of Medical and Health Statistics in the country. The institute provides statistical services and assistance to Central, State and Local Bodies in the field of Health, Medicine, Epidemiology and other allied areas. The institute also keeps track of the various research, training and other activities conducted across the many health related institutes in the country. This makes it difficult for the institute to provide prompt and accurate responses to specific queries from Government and other interested agencies.
The Health Research Information System (HRIS), is a repository of information on Research Projects, Publications, Training Programs, Seminars, Workshops and Conferences.
